All kids ages 8-14 are invited to be on the Bake Sale Team! Click the Join the Team button to sign-up. As a member of the Bake Sale Team, we ask that you:

1. Attend the Team Meeting on Friday, July 19 at the Inverness Fire Station/Hoover Fire Station 7.

2. Make a batch of an assigned recipe at home that afternoon/evening.

3. Deliver the recipe you made to the Bake Sale on Saturday, July 20 before the sale begins.

4. Run the Bake Sale with others on the team for at least 30 minutes.

Location Details:

Both the Team Meeting and Bake Sale will take place at Hoover Fire Station 7 located at 100 Inverness Park Drive, Hoover, AL 35242. Friday's Team Meeting will be in the upstairs meeting room (parents can drop-off/pick-up). Saturday's Bake Sale will be outside the fire station (parents on site required).

Schedule Details:

Team Meeting, Friday, July 19, 10am-12pm

You will hear all about our charity of choice, Grace Klein Community, and why we have chosen to support it. You will also learn:

• What recipes we need you to make at home for the sale

• How to package baked items to sell

• Roles and responsibilities at the sale

• Money changing during the sale

• Proper ways to talk to customers

• Proper ways to flag down passerbys

• If time allows, we'll also make posters and signs for the sale

  
  

  *After the team meeting is over, please spend time on Friday evening in your kitchen making baked goods. As noted above, we'll provide the recipes. You may need to stop by the grocery store for particular ingredients but count on needing the basics: oil, flour, sugar, eggs, etc. You also may need to purchase packaging supplies such as plastic wrap, ribbon, plastic bags, take-home boxes, etc. Consider this your contribution to the charity, as we know prices for these types of things are extremely high these days!💰💰💰

Bake Sale, Saturday, July 20, 10am-12pm

All team members should plan to drop off their baked goods between 9am-9:30am. Before customers begin arriving at 10am, we'll work together to set up for the bake sale. There is a restroom and playground on site, so feel free to bring the whole family! It will also be hot, so don't forget water bottles, Gatorade/Powerade, and sunscreen! Feel free to stay at the bake sale, working it alongside team members, for as long as you like. Even 30 minutes would be a huge help in making it run efficiently and allow for everyone to take breaks.

Additional details:

-All IBB Bake Sale team members will get a T-shirt on Friday that they can wear on Saturday. Please note your size preference on the registration form.👕

-Deadline for Entry: Thursday, July 11th to guarantee a t-shirt or Monday, July 15th to participate on the team.

-All recipes for the bake sale will be nut-free.🚫🥜
